uPVC Door Handle Sizes

Though there’s a universal size that will suit most common uPVC doors, there is also a wide range of handle sizes available. The size we’re describing here is not the size of the handle lever, it’s actually what is known as the PZ measurement. It’s the distance between the centre of the keyhole to the centre of the handle.

Our selection of high-quality uPVC Door Handles are available in the ‘universal’ 92mm, as well as 48mm, 68mm, 70mm, 72mm, 85mm, and 117mm – all in either Lever / Lever and Lever / Pad designs.

How Do I Measure a uPVC Door Handle?

Measuring a uPVC Door Handle isn’t as complicated as you might think! Let’s break it down to help you correctly identify the size you need to replace your handle…

1 – Measure the PZ
The PZ is a term used to describe the distance between the centre of the handle lever and the centre of the keyhole. This is measurement A in our diagram.

2 – Measure the Fixing distance
Every uPVC Door Handle has a fixing screw located at the bottom of the plate. However, the top screw could be located in the middle underneath the lever, or (as pictured below) right at the top of the back plate. This is measurement B in our diagram.

Measurements C & D are also important; however, A & B are the only two that will affect whether your replacement handle works or not.
